Please note, the Ombudsman may not consider a complaint that relates to a matter that happened more than 12 months ago unless special circumstances exist.
Please note that in order to submit this form you have to fill in all fields marked (*).
If complaints are received anonymously then the Ombudsman may be more hesitant to investigate the matter. Also, you will not be able to hear back from the Ombudsman regarding the progress or outcome of the investigation.
As you have not already raised this complaint with the agency concerned, you have three options on how to proceed with your complaint:
We recommend that you first raise your complaint in writing with a senior officer of the agency concerned (for example, the Director-General of a department, CEO of the local council or administrative head of an agency). This enables the relevant agency to consider and try to resolve your complaint.
You can find the contact details on the Northern Territory Government site.
If you believe that you are a whistleblower, you should contact us either by phone, by a separate email, or by visiting the blowthewhistle website.
(NOTE: Complaints about other Police Forces must be made to that state/territory/commonwealth)
